Assisted Living Medicaid Waiver
Directed by the Council on Aging of South Ohio, the Assisted Living Medicaid Waiver is an alternative for Nursing Facility Residents, recipients of one of Ohio’s Waiver Medicaid Programs or residents that have lived in an Assisted Living facility for six months or longer with private funding and are Medicaid eligible. The purpose of the waiver is to provide an additional option on the continuum of care for individuals who meet the nursing home level of care criteria and whose needs can be adequately and safely met in the less restrictive setting such as assisted living.
